Przedstawiono, które restauracje otworzone zostaną w następnym tygodniu. Nie ma wśród nich żadnej w MK, są za to trzy w Luton, które otwarte zostaną w środę, 13 maja. Ken Tomkins, właściciel sześciu restauracji McDonald's w Milton Keynes przedstawił plany do otworzenia ich już niedługo. Jego franczyzna - Kaizen Restaurants Ltd jest obecna w CMK, Brickhill, Kingston, Westcroft, Wolverton and Xscape.

Wszystkie pomieszczenia będą bardzo dokładnie wyczyszczone, na podłogach umieszczone zostaną taśmy uwidaczniające odległość, jaką trzeba zachować. Używane będą też specjalne ekrany, które zapewnią jeszcze większe bezpieczeństwo. Pracownicy będą mieć regularnie sprawdzaną temperaturę, a w kuchniach pracować będzie mniejsza niż dotychczas liczba ludzi. Menu będzie znacznie ograniczone, restauracje czynne będą od godz. 11-22. Dotychczas załoga sieci McDonald's 

w MK dostarczała jedzenie w czasie "zamknięcia kraju" do szpitala, jak i do YMCA.

Tymczasem Burger King otworzył kilka miejsc w kraju, dostarczając jedzenie do domów. Sieć KFC z kolei otworzyła ok.100 swoich miejsc w UK również z myślą, by jedzenie dostarczać do klienta. Restauracje KFC, znajdujące się w MK pozostają zamknięte.

McDonald's in Milton Keynes to re-open "soon". They have revealed which restaurants will re-open from next week. No MK restaurants are included on the list, but three Luton based will be opening their doors and will be able to serve a limited menu to the customers from Wednesday May 13.

On the other side, Ken Tomkins, the owner of six MK McDonald's said he is planning to open them up soon in the most secure way. His franchise - Kaizen Restaurants Ltd operates in CMK, Brickhill, Kingston, Westcroft, Wolverton and Xscape. All premises will have been deep cleaned and will be equipped with perspex screens and floor markings to make sure social distancing rules are followed accordingly. Workers will get their temperature checked and kitchen will see smaller teams working on the shifts. Only limited menu will be available. Restaurants will be opened from 11am - 10pm.

McDonald's staff in MK kept delivering supplies to the Milton Keynes Hospital and the YMCA Milton Keynes during the lockdown.

Burger King has opened few branches nationally for home delivery.

KFC has re-opened around 100 branches nationwide for home delivery. All five KFC restaurants in MK still remain closed.
